THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES FOR OUR ACTIONS! by Earl Sutton

In 1996 a grain ship, “Bright Field,” was heading down the Mississippi River near New Orleans, when it lost control, veered toward the shore and crashed into a riverside shopping mall. The impact demolished parts of the wharf and injured 116 people. According to the Coast Guard investigation, the ship’s owner and crew had failed to repair long-standing engine problems. This is a clear example of not doing what you should do and receiving the consequences of bad decisions.

The Devil deceived Eve into thinking that there would be no consequences for eating the forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:1-7). God said, “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, ye shall not eat of it lest ye die” (v.3) The Devil said, “Ye shall not surely die.” (v.4) Eve dilly-dallied with the temptation and contemplated the possibilities that the Devil had suggested and threw away all restrain and ate the fruit!  Why?  The Devil deceived her into thinking that there would be no consequences for sin.

The Devil continues to lie to us today and tells our society that a little sin won’t hurt, a little indulgence is not a problem, a little transgression will never hurt anybody! The Devil tells us that we are only human and go ahead and enjoy sin. The Bible says, “The way of the transgressor is hard.” ( Prov. 13:15)

Our society believes that it can live in disobedience to God’s will by practicing homosexuality and never suffer the consequences. The scriptures teach that there will be consequences for our actions. “Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth unto the spirit shall of the spirit reap eternal life.” (Gal. 6:7-8) This basic principle applies to the physical world and spiritual realm as well. The word, “mocked” is a Greek word (mukterizete:) which means to turn one’s nose up at God. The point is that if a person sows to the flesh (homosexuality and sinful living) and turns up his nose at God, he shall go the way of all flesh, -- die and face the judgment of God where there will be consequences. (reap destruction – Gal. 6:8)

The scriptures emphasize the consequences of sin in other verses. Ezekiel said, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ez. 18:4) Paul said, “The wages of sin is death.” (Rom. 6:23)  Over and over, again and again, the Bible under all circumstances, emphasizes that we reap what we sow and that sin is always followed by consequences.

There is rebellion in the hearts and in the behavior of many people in our society today. In view of the fact that sin will always have consequences, what can we predict for the future? According to the basic law of sowing and reaping, the answer can best be given in the words of the prophet Hosea, “They sow the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind.” (Hos. 8:7) There is one time of sowing (while alive), and there will be two times of reaping. We reap in this life and also reap beyond this life in the hereafter. Sin brings forth its consequences both here and hereafter.

People may do things without realizing the consequences of their actions, but one day there is going to be an accounting! (Rev. 21:8)

CONTEMPT FOR RIGHT DOING by Earl Sutton

The globalists on the left of our political spectrum have contempt for right doing and refuse to accept the existing authority of our new president. They believe they have the right to reject all forms of authority that they don’t control. They reject the outcome of the presidential election won by the Republicans. They reject the authority of the Supreme Court when its decisions aren’t in accord with their agenda. They reject the Constitution when it is not dominated by the left! They practiced total unilateral executive authority under Obama, but now they want states to unilaterally decide what laws they want to follow. This is just pure hypocrisy!

The globalists have radicalized the left, and they have an allegiance to their ideology, not our Constitution, not our country or our system of government. Our system of government was designed to allow different groups to negotiate their differences based around finding shared interests. The most profound of these shared interests was that of making America great and upholding moral values.

The globalist left believes in replacing these founding principles with radically different ones. They have rejected the primary importance of our country, the rule of law, and share very little in the way of our interests and values.

The globalist left is using our biased mainstream media to try to manufacture a consensus to transition the country from American values to their values and agendas. This includes allegiance to open borders, homosexuality, sanctuary cities, environmental fanaticism (global warming), one world government and anti-religious freedom.

The left has made it very clear that they will not accept lawful authority of our system of government or the outcome of our elections. The reason is because these things are at odds with their ideology and represent the will of a large portion of this country which they despise.

There are few signs that the Democrat party and progressive Republicans understand the dangerous road that the globalist left is drawing them toward. The globalist left assumes that the winners of a democratic election will back down rather than stand on their authority and that democracy will die in darkness.

The globalist left is a treasonous movement by rejecting our system of government, its laws, its election, and its moral principles. They are engaged in a struggle for power against the U.S. government, the home, and the church. This is a conflict between a totalitarian system versus a democratic system, and its outcome will determine whether we will be a free nation or a nation of slaves.

What does the Bible have to say about those who have contempt for right doing? The globalist left have compromised their integrity by being unethical. By definition, integrity means “soundness of moral principle and character, complete honesty and uprightness with no masking of intent.” Its opposite is hypocrisy (the globalists under Obama promoted both open and closed borders and said that Republicans needed to get over losing the election). Integrity demands that a person put on no false fronts, they wear no artificial masks and play no deceptive role. It means that a person must be openly honest, making sure that he/she doesn’t convey false claims in word or in deed. Integrity excludes lying, stealing, cheating, slanting news using negative reporting and deception.

The Bible says, “Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity than he that is perverse in his lips and is a fool” (Prov. 19:1). The contrast between globalism and democratic rule-- one leads to slavery, the other to freedom of choice        .
