In 1996 a grain ship, “Bright Field,” was heading down the Mississippi River near New Orleans, when it lost control, veered toward the shore and crashed into a riverside shopping mall. The impact demolished parts of the wharf and injured 116 people. According to the Coast Guard investigation, the ship’s owner and crew had failed to repair long-standing engine problems. This is a clear example of not doing what you should do and receiving the consequences of bad decisions.

The Devil deceived Eve into thinking that there would be no consequences for eating the forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:1-7). God said, “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, ye shall not eat of it lest ye die” (v.3) The Devil said, “Ye shall not surely die.” (v.4) Eve dilly-dallied with the temptation and contemplated the possibilities that the Devil had suggested and threw away all restrain and ate the fruit!  Why?  The Devil deceived her into thinking that there would be no consequences for sin.

The Devil continues to lie to us today and tells our society that a little sin won’t hurt, a little indulgence is not a problem, a little transgression will never hurt anybody! The Devil tells us that we are only human and go ahead and enjoy sin. The Bible says, “The way of the transgressor is hard.” ( Prov. 13:15)

Our society believes that it can live in disobedience to God’s will by practicing homosexuality and never suffer the consequences. The scriptures teach that there will be consequences for our actions. “Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth unto the spirit shall of the spirit reap eternal life.” (Gal. 6:7-8) This basic principle applies to the physical world and spiritual realm as well. The word, “mocked” is a Greek word (mukterizete:) which means to turn one’s nose up at God. The point is that if a person sows to the flesh (homosexuality and sinful living) and turns up his nose at God, he shall go the way of all flesh, -- die and face the judgment of God where there will be consequences. (reap destruction – Gal. 6:8)

The scriptures emphasize the consequences of sin in other verses. Ezekiel said, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ez. 18:4) Paul said, “The wages of sin is death.” (Rom. 6:23)  Over and over, again and again, the Bible under all circumstances, emphasizes that we reap what we sow and that sin is always followed by consequences.

There is rebellion in the hearts and in the behavior of many people in our society today. In view of the fact that sin will always have consequences, what can we predict for the future? According to the basic law of sowing and reaping, the answer can best be given in the words of the prophet Hosea, “They sow the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind.” (Hos. 8:7) There is one time of sowing (while alive), and there will be two times of reaping. We reap in this life and also reap beyond this life in the hereafter. Sin brings forth its consequences both here and hereafter.

People may do things without realizing the consequences of their actions, but one day there is going to be an accounting! (Rev. 21:8)

THE REAL MOTIVE by Earl Sutton

The Pharisees were determined to get rid of Jesus at any cost! They began to plot how they would tangle him up in things that he said in order to accuse him of being a traitor to the Roman Government.

The Pharisees’ real motive was completely evil; because Jesus was supporting a new religion, and their law was being replaced by it. “Then went the Pharisees and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk” (Matthew 22:15). They asked, “Tell us, is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not” (v. 17)? The way the Pharisees had it figured, anyway Jesus answered he would offend a great many people. If he answered, yes, the zealots would be offended. If he answered, no, the Sadducees would be offended, but Jesus perceived their wickedness and said, “Why make ye trial of me, ye hypocrites” (v. 18). Jesus knew their thoughts and intents and called them hypocrites, because they were pretending to ask a sincere question, but their real motive was ulterior and evil!

The Democratic party, now controlled by globalists who are pushing a one world government, is determined to get rid of President Trump at any cost. They are plotting how they can win the next election. They accuse him of showing a lack of spirit for the humanitarian crisis at our border by not letting illegal immigrants into our country. The Democratic party is now, as a matter of policy, calling for the legalization of all illegals in this country, which would amount to the citizenship voting rights of at least 22 million new voters.

Yale University has just released a study that shows the actual number of illegal aliens in this country is not 11 million but is actually over 22 million. The real motive of the Democrats who support illegal immigration and open borders in our country is to rig the next election in their favor. This is pure hypocrisy because 98% of them opposed this from 2012-2016, and the Bible strongly condemns this two-faced action of pretending one thing and doing another.

House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has revealed in an interview exactly why the Democrats want open borders and illegal aliens to be able to come into our country freely. It is to rig the next election for her party. The false front of helping a “humanitarian crisis” is completely bogus. It is a fact that the largest margin in American presidential history was 17 million votes in the 1984 election between Mondale and Reagan. The left knows that if you can add 22 million to our voter rolls, it would win them elections for many years to come.

This is what the illegal controversy is all about. It has absolutely nothing to do with making our country better, serving our labor needs or helping poor people from other countries. It is strictly about putting the Democratic party in power forever in order to bring in a new world order by globalists.

The real crisis in America at the present time is the Democratic party pushing this one world government concept which would do away with our Constitution and religious freedom. The American people and all Christians need to come together, stand up for America’s values, the church, home, and family which are under attack by the radical left.

In the last election, 54 million evangelical Christians stayed home. If Christians will show up and vote our values, we can turn this country around.
