In 1996 a grain ship, “Bright Field,” was heading down the Mississippi River near New Orleans, when it lost control, veered toward the shore and crashed into a riverside shopping mall. The impact demolished parts of the wharf and injured 116 people. According to the Coast Guard investigation, the ship’s owner and crew had failed to repair long-standing engine problems. This is a clear example of not doing what you should do and receiving the consequences of bad decisions.

The Devil deceived Eve into thinking that there would be no consequences for eating the forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:1-7). God said, “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, ye shall not eat of it lest ye die” (v.3) The Devil said, “Ye shall not surely die.” (v.4) Eve dilly-dallied with the temptation and contemplated the possibilities that the Devil had suggested and threw away all restrain and ate the fruit!  Why?  The Devil deceived her into thinking that there would be no consequences for sin.

The Devil continues to lie to us today and tells our society that a little sin won’t hurt, a little indulgence is not a problem, a little transgression will never hurt anybody! The Devil tells us that we are only human and go ahead and enjoy sin. The Bible says, “The way of the transgressor is hard.” ( Prov. 13:15)

Our society believes that it can live in disobedience to God’s will by practicing homosexuality and never suffer the consequences. The scriptures teach that there will be consequences for our actions. “Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth unto the spirit shall of the spirit reap eternal life.” (Gal. 6:7-8) This basic principle applies to the physical world and spiritual realm as well. The word, “mocked” is a Greek word (mukterizete:) which means to turn one’s nose up at God. The point is that if a person sows to the flesh (homosexuality and sinful living) and turns up his nose at God, he shall go the way of all flesh, -- die and face the judgment of God where there will be consequences. (reap destruction – Gal. 6:8)

The scriptures emphasize the consequences of sin in other verses. Ezekiel said, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ez. 18:4) Paul said, “The wages of sin is death.” (Rom. 6:23)  Over and over, again and again, the Bible under all circumstances, emphasizes that we reap what we sow and that sin is always followed by consequences.

There is rebellion in the hearts and in the behavior of many people in our society today. In view of the fact that sin will always have consequences, what can we predict for the future? According to the basic law of sowing and reaping, the answer can best be given in the words of the prophet Hosea, “They sow the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind.” (Hos. 8:7) There is one time of sowing (while alive), and there will be two times of reaping. We reap in this life and also reap beyond this life in the hereafter. Sin brings forth its consequences both here and hereafter.

People may do things without realizing the consequences of their actions, but one day there is going to be an accounting! (Rev. 21:8)

In Genesis 27, we see the principle that everything is not what it appears to be. Isaac began to explain to his son, Esau, that he was reaching old age and might very well die soon. Esau was the older son and could receive a double portion of his inheritance. He could be given the responsibility for leadership of the family when Isaac passed on.

Esau had been in the habit of going hunting and bringing venison home to be eaten by his father. Now Isaac revealed why he had called Esau to him, because he desired some deer meat and then he would pronounce the blessing upon him.

Rebecca overheard the conversation. As soon as Esau had left on his hunting trip, she began to make a plan to deceive Isaac. She told Jacob, her favorite son, to go and select two kid goats. She would cook them and make a delicious meal for her husband. Rebecca spelled it out for Jacob in order that he may receive the blessing, they had to deceive Isaac.

Jacob realized that his father was old and his eyes were clouded. Esau was very hairy and Jacob, by contrast, had smooth skin. Jacob dressed up in clothes that Esau wore in order to smell like him. He put on goat skins to have the feel and appearance of Esau. Jacob carried the meal to his father and stated he was Esau. He encouraged his father to eat the meal and then pronounce the blessing on him, thinking it was Esau. Isaac wished to verify that he was conferring the blessing on the right person. He felt of Jacob’s skin which was hairy from wearing the goat skin. He appeared to be hairy like Esau. Everything was not as it appeared to be, and Isaac was deceived!

The truth behind the real political power in America is not what it appears to be. Most Americans believe that their vote could sway the tide of a nation-wide election so that their chosen candidate could win. Every four years, America comes together to vote for and select its next president. Every two years, members of the House of Representatives are selected. Every six years, we select our senators. Generally speaking, the person with the most votes should win.

But the entire democratic system is not what it appears to be. The person that we vote for is powerless to do anything to affect any significant change. It doesn’t matter whether you vote Republican or Democrat, your candidate will not be able to change but very few things. WHY? The Deep State won’t let them. This shadow government holds all the power and makes all the decisions, especially the decisions that count. There is so much corruption in our government today, including judges, many members of Congress, past presidents and their cabinets.

The American Constitution and system of government is an elegant system designed by honorable men who truly believed in what they wrote and tried their best to guard against corruption.

Where did all this go wrong? The founders never imagined that the government would ever get to be so massive. The government is now a tumor that’s threatening to destroy America. The Deep State within it is this tumor.

How can the average voter stop the Deep State’s takeover of our American liberties? It is high time that all American citizens have the knowledge and power to stand up against the cancer that is eating at our great country. As a single person, we are weak. But as a population of over 350 million strong, there is nothing that can stop us.

The illegal voting must stop. We need term limits in Congress. We must realize that the goal of the Deep State is to remove God out of our society and replace it with a one world government that has Satan as its god. Before we can manage to stop the Deep State, we must ask for God’s help. With God on our side, we will prevail against this evil force (Prov. 12:5).
